Deadline for HEC Scholarships Extended till 21st December
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended the last date for submission of application for Indigenous PhD Fellowship Programme till December 21, 2015.
The purpose of extension in date is to facilitate the applicants, particularly those from far-flung areas who could not apply due to electricity and internet issues. The Indigenous PhD Programme provides equal opportunities to aspiring scholars and researchers even in less privileged areas.
This is the last time applicants are being facilitated and after the new deadline expires, any incomplete online application form will not be entertained for further processing.

My Experience of Interview at German Embassy In Pakistan for study VISA

My Experience of Interview at German Embassy In Pakistan for study VISA

My friend appeaed in interview panel for study VISA in German Embassy at 7th july 2015.. All the questions asked in interview and required documents are listed in his own words. This might be helpful to many students who are planning to go in Germany.

My yesterday's interview experience at ISB Embassy:
It was a cool morning and raining since night. I reached at Shuttle service at 6:45 A.M (my appointment timing was 8-9), submitted my bag and cell there. (You will get a token after submitting your bag & cell separately on different counters). There was along queue to buy the ticket of shuttle service even that earlier. Anyhow, i managed to get shuttle bus ticket at 7:15 A.M (200 Rs. return ticket for German Embassy). I then went to waiting area of shuttle service and immediately got a bus and reached German Embassy at 7:30 A.M.
After sometime, someone from embassy came and started giving tokens. I got Token # 2. After checking on entrance, i was then allowed to enter Embassy. There was a photocopier in the waiting area inside embassy who arranged my 2 set of docs with below sequence:
1) Visa Application Form and two pictures attached with paper clip (one picture on one form and second on other form)
2) Copy of Passport first 4 pages on A4
3) Copy of CNIC on A4 (Front & Back)
4) Admission (acceptance) letter from German University
5) DB account letter
6) CV
7) Proof of academic degrees
a. Secondary Certificate
b. Higher Secondary Certificate
c. Bachelor’s Degree and transcript
8) IELTS
9) Proof of work experience
10) Copy of Travel Insurance + Health declaration form
11) Copy of Yellow colored Polio Certificate
12) List of Children
13) Security Questionnaire
14) Declaration Form
15) Bank statement of sponsor
16) Appointment email print
My interview was held at counter # 2 by a middle aged man. He was very polite & humble. My interview went smoothly Alhamdulillah. Following questions were asked:
1. Your previous graduation degree?
2. What was ur CGPA?
3. When you graduated and from which university?
4. Ur F.Sc marks?
5. Matric marks?
6. Are u coming back to Pakistan or not? (Lol.. grin emoticon That was so immediate question)
7. What are your plans after coming to Pakistan?
8. What about your siblings?
9. What do they do?
10. Who is your sponsor?
11. What he does?
12. His income?
13. Do you have a health insurance?
14. From when to when?
15. When will your classes start?
16. When are you planning to fly?
17. What are you doing currently? (I told him i'm doing a job)
18. Since when you are doing?
19. Your designation?
20. Will you quit your job if you get your Visa?
He then gave me a page and asked to write 1 paragraph motivational letter. After completing my LOM, i handed him over and he gave me bank slip and took my finger prints. He then gave me passport and asked to submit its courier return fee of 500 Rs. and submit him back. I did the same and i was done there.
He didn't asked anything regarding my sponsor bank statement, though it was attached to my documents and its necessary these days. It all depends on VO whether he/she demands or not. He didn't see my originals and didn't ask my intended university. (I don't know why) But do keep every single document with you to be on the safe side and do prepare well.
That's all about my interview experience. Keep me in your prayers. And best of luck to all those who are going to appear for Visa Interview.
