The King in Yellow is a collection of weird short stories written by the American writer Robert William Chambers, one of the early writers of supernatural fiction works whose writing has greatly influenced authors like H. P. Lovecraft.  Among his collection of short stories, novels and children's books notable include The Red Republic, The Mystery of Choice, The Haunts of Men, A Young Man in a Hurry, The Tree of Heaven, The Hastur Cycle, Mountain-Land, Orchard-Land, and The Yellow Sign and Other Stories.
